• Drainspotting? What kind of lame hobby is that?

  No, it's fun, really. I can think of stupider things to be interested in. Hummel figurines, for example. Plus, drainspotting is free! Just walk around and pay attention to what's going on by your feet.

• Well, you've convinced me! How do I submit a photo?

  If you don't have an account yet, create one. Then upload away! I haven't implemented site moderation yet, so anything you upload immediately goes into the rotation. Please don't abuse this. I will be moderating the site eventually, but that'll take some more coding.

  Alternately, if you have a Flickr account, upload your photo there with a Creative Commons license and "drainspotting" as one of its tags. The Flickr Import Bot will periodically scan Flickr for CC-licensed photos with the drainspotting tag, and import them.

• Why do you want my email address to sign up for an account?

  Check out the privacy notice. I'm not some big company collecting a list of email addresses to sell to direct marketers who want a list of people interested in manhole covers. I'm just this guy, you know?
